Tabcorp is committed to minimising its environmental impact and operating as efficiently as possible. Our main focus is on reducing the consumption of natural resources to further minimise our environmental footprint.

Due to the nature of our businesses, Tabcorp has a low environmental risk profile and footprint. Tabcorp is a low energy and water consumer, and is a low carbon emitter. Tabcorp does not meet any of the Federal Government’s thresholds for mandatory environmental reporting.

Conservation Volunteers Australia

Conservation Volunteers Australia

Tabcorp has a long-standing corporate partnership and association with Conservation Volunteers Australia (CVA). We support our team members to participate in environmental protection and wildlife conservation activities with CVA. In September 2017, Wagering Technology team members in Victoria used their annual volunteer leave day to participate in the CVA’s Eastern Barred Bandicoot recovery project on Threatened Species Day. In June 2018, team members also participated in the annual CVA Tree Planting Challenge to celebrate World Environment Day, which resulted in almost 2,000 native seedlings planted along the banks of Melbourne’s Yarra River.

Earth Hour

Earth Hour

In March 2018, Tabcorp participated in Earth Hour, an annual event of the World Wide Fund for Nature to promote global environmental awareness. Tabcorp supported the initiative and fostered awareness of climate change by encouraging team members to switch off lights, computer monitors and other non-essential devices at work and at home.

CDP

CDP

Tabcorp again responded to the annual CDP (previously called the Carbon Disclosure Project) in August 2018. Tabcorp completed the Climate Change and Water Security questionnaires requested by CDP stakeholders.
