Tabcorp renews thoroughbred vision and commingling deal with Singapore
10 August 2021
Tabcorp and Singapore Pools have renewed the long-standing agreement that brings racing from Singapore into Australia and Australian racing provided by Sky Racing into Singapore.
The tote commingling agreement that underpins this deal has also been extended ensuring greater liquidity and more betting options for tote punters in both countries.
The agreement brings greater returns for racing in both jurisdictions through the additional turnover wagered on the races covered.
Tabcorp’s Sky Racing covers at least 550 races from Singapore each year including the Kranji Mile, Singapore Gold Cup and the Singapore Derby bringing the action into pubs, clubs and TAB agencies, as well as homes via pay TV, and to punters watching via the TAB app and website.
Under the agreement, Singapore has expanded the number of thoroughbred races provided by Sky to over 4,000 and is distributed via the Kranji racecourse, retail betting outlets and pay TV.
Tabcorp General Manager International Paul Cross said the deal had been a success since its inception as a vision agreement in 2008.
“There is a strong appetite for racing from Singapore among punters in Australia. Similarly, racing provided by Sky has great appeal for punters in Singapore. So much so, Sky now produces a dedicated linear racing channel, full of Sky Racing content for distribution in Singapore.
“So the renewal of this agreement is a winner in both jurisdictions – for fans of racing and for the sport itself.
“We think our strong association with Singapore Pools will continue to deliver for both parties.”
Singapore Pools’ Chief Product Officer Simon Leong said:
“The partnership between Tabcorp and Singapore Pools has been rewarding and the collaboration will continue to grow from strength to strength, creating greater success for both our organisations.”
